Named after the Secret Service handles for John F. Kennedy and Jackie Onassis, Lancer and Lace Salon is rooted in iconic beauty. Established by two aspiring entrepreneurs in 2016, the founders needed help building out their dream space in Belltown’s Insignia Towers.

Starting with an empty shell and limited square footage, the new layout required a strategic approach. A central core surrounded by a dual purpose circulation path helps move people throughout the space and connects key functional zones including styling stations, private esthetician rooms, and restrooms. Inserting a concrete and steel stair to a new mezzanine, created additional square footage for esthetician rooms — helping the client maximize their footprint in the 2,300 square-foot space.

A minimalist palette of concrete, glass, and steel provided a clean canvas for the client to display their original art pieces. The artistic and intimate ambiance is complemented by warm details such as the custom walnut styling stations and walnut canopy in the entry — all designed in-house.
