The Collaborative team was brought on board to make light updates to this home in North Seattle’s Broadview neighborhood.The integration of modern details helped transform the traditional home into a modern sanctuary for an evolving family.
The home’s original fireplace and floors were updated using cedar and steel details—the design team patinaed the cedar to help it blend better with the original finishes that were left untouched. Custom metal work including a blackened steel railing also deliver a modern touch to the home. Other updates include a new dining space with a built-in bench, renovated bathroom, wood-cladded closets, and a new deck.
