The Story of 46 Etruria St

Our Fremont office building is well known in the Seattle design community. It is the former home to Gulassa Furniture’s fabrication studio, where David Gulassa and his team of Seattle artisans created every piece of furniture by hand.

The building now houses three creative offices including both architecture and photography studios. Our office is located in the garage—originally Gulassa’s paint shop. Gulassa remodeled the space some years ago, inserting transom windows and sliding garage doors. The simple material palette of metal, concrete and timber were inspired by the building’s industrial origins and adds character to the repurposed workspace.

We will continue to honor the legacy left behind by David Gulassa and Barrett Shepherd and attribute the beauty of this space to their creative vision, which serves as an inspiration to us, and the entire design community.
