Located on 10 acres, the Rifle Cabin nestles into the site and directs its living spaces towards the views of the surrounding canyons and the sounds of the creek below.
The site has been a family camping getaway since the early 1950’s – The owners wanted to keep as much of the land untouched as possible. Utilizing existing site features and focusing program to take advantage of the natural beauty of the land, the cabin functions as a retreat. Natural light, sweeping views and outdoor living space provide tranquility and a gathering space for family and friends.
An elevated deck off of the living space provides a connection to the creek below and the canyons beyond. Dark rock walls and charred timber cladding provide a timeless and maintenance free exterior aesthetic while the interiors are clad with white birch panels to bring in light and a crisp modern feel.
