Placencia Beach Club Villas

Citizen Design was approached to provide a schematic design for adding condominiums to the Placencia Beach Club in Belize. The irregular site and existing buildings posed a challenge to organize the program into an orthogonal plan. The final plan was able to create a collection of villas that oriented living spaces and outdoor decks towards the panoramic views of the ocean. A new roof top deck was added to provide private amenity space and a restaurant, spa and conference room for the residents. The lowest floor added parking, a commercial kitchen, staff housing, storage and laundry facilities.
