The homeowners approached Collaborative to help them re-imagine their traditional English Tudor residence to accommodate their growing family needs. The design team’s challenge was to maintain some of the elements of the existing home and integrate an addition that was more contemporary. The main design objectives included programming for more functional living spaces, access to the views of the Puget Sound and better circulation.
All of the interior spaces were reconfigured. The addition was imagined in stark contrast to the existing structure in order to respect the traditional forms.
